LA Times apologizes to Combs; Presley's face needs redo; Robin …
The Los Angeles Times has issued an apology for the story it ran last week linking Sean “Diddy” Combs to the 1994 shooting of the of late rapper Tupac Shakur.
In a published statement, reporter Chuck Philips said he relied on what he thought were FBI documents, but it turns out that the papers were apparently forged by some troubled 31-year-old wannabe hip hopper who’s in prison for fraud.
The Smoking Gun Web site looked a little deeper at the supposed FBI documents and discovered the hoax.
TSG believes the papers were forged by James Sabatino, who was identified in the Times article as a promoter. TSG calls him a delusional con man, who is in federal prison for fraud.
Diddy and James Rosemond, who the LA Times article also said was involved in Tupac’s assault, immediately issued denials last week.
Both were madder than hornets, too. We smell a lawsuit.
Bebe Neuwirth — looking absolutely gorgeous, according to our source — was in the house at Wednesday night’s Point Park University Conservatory Theatre Company performance of “Assassins” at the Pittsburgh Playhouse.
Turns out she’s friends with Jeff Saver, the show’s musical director and a Point Park faculty member.
Beautiful Bebe, who’s in town this weekend to sing with the Pittsburgh Symphony Pops, stuck around to talk to the cast, and a number of conservatory students were able to sit in at her rehearsal yesterday with the PSO.
We love it! No diva attitude whatsoever. You go, Bebe!
Perhaps Priscilla Presley can find out what Miss Neuwirth is using to keep her looking so great because what Priscilla did sure didn’t work.
We’re still racking our brains over why a grown woman with money and resources would go to somebody’s house and let an unlicensed doctor inject stuff into her face?

Ah, it’s a “deep” one now. Wonder how long they’re going to run away from the D-word.

Too bad, I might’ve upmodded the article otherwise, but with such a completely false reddit title I have to mod it down.

The article makes no mention of a crop that grows very well throughout most of North America, and is can produce a far greater yield of ethanol than corn - the lowly sugar beet. The sugar beet uses less of a footprint than the average corn plant, produces far more sugars (almost the same amount as sugar cane, which has allowed Brazil to get out of the world oil trade), and grows very well in a hydroponic environment. The Ethanol solution is simple - stacked hydroponic plants growing sugar beets. One acre of corn will only produce a small amount of ethanol. A stacked hydroponic growing facility, situated on the same acre of land, with about 15 levels of hydroponic farms can produce almost 30 times as much ethanol. It almost seems that the news media only accepts corn as a valid producer of ethanol, mainly because most people don’t understand the distillation process. Corn isn’t good for ethanol production just because it’s corn. It’s good because of the high sugar content. Utilizing a crop that yields far more sugar is also far more efficient.Simple solution.

Basicly it says, “In times of emergency, all the rules go out the window, and we can inject liquidity to anyone, and anything. Per it’s instructions, apparently the fed can appropriate this clause to individuals as well.Hey, I’m short on liquidity here, can the fed bail my ass out too?

That’s exactly why I explained my down mod as the reddiquette suggests. It’s a good article, I’m glad you submitted it and encourage you to submit more like this in the future, just make sure not to put a major claim in your title that is not in the article.

A very deep recession is called a depression.

“In the broadest use of its lending authority since the 1930s, the Fed last month agreed to temporarily let investment firms obtain emergency financing from the Fed, a privilege that previously had been granted only to commercial banks.”Tell me why this is being allowed to happen.

Drum roll……The Fed (but us in the end, we have been too detatched from our government)By design, americans are far too money oriented and when their love affair with greed go’s sour they will give up most anything (sovereignty) to retain their illusionary wealth. The only true wealth we have is our freedom. But Ideals are such a hard sell these days.

this was the 3-18-08 closed-door meeting, the minutes for which were released 4-8-08. i think the title, more accurately, should be ‘Federal Reserve Was Concerned About A Very Deep Recession’

I wish I could find it, but on d-n-i.net, there was an article awhile back with a pretty long list of “6 more months” and “critical time period” predictions by various commentators.
